The Philadelphia animal control shelter (ACCT) is FULL and THESE THREE DOGS MUST LEAVE BY 6:00 PM TONIGHT (December 31st)!!
If you can foster or adopt go directly to the shelter, which is located at 111 W. Hunting Park Avenue in Philadelphia.

KATANA -- MUST LEAVE BY 6:00 PM ON 12/31/09!!Katana is waiting for a forever home! Her family surrendered this 6-12 month old puppy because they were moving. She knows all her basic obedience commands: ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’ and even ‘paw’! She’s a larger girl, about 60-65 pounds. Katana has loads of energy and would love to be your running partner! This goofy puppy likes to ‘talk’ to you and nibble on your ear. Katana likes other dogs and also seems to like cats! She is on treatment for kennel cough and needs to leave ASAP! Photos at:

ROMEO -- MUST LEAVE BY 6:00 PM ON 12/31/09!!!Romeo is a special pittie boy! This cutie wrinkle face came to ACCT as a stray and its hard to believe someone isn't looking for this adorable guy. Romeo is a dominant boy, a little pushy with other dogs, but not aggressive. This medium sized boy is about 1-2 years old and seems to be housebroken. He is goofy and loves to play and will toss around toys and chase birds every chance he gets. He is calm and appears to be housebroken but he may need a refresher course. Romeo knows ‘sit’ but needs to learn more. He is not jumpy and is friendly. He loves having his ear rubbed and neck scratched. MILEY -- MUST LEAVE BY 6:00 PM ON 12/31/09!!!Miley is a 6-12 month puppy girl that was found as a stray. Like most puppies she’s playful and needs her basic obedience training. Because she is sensitive, she does not like having her ears or tail pulled, so she should go to a home with no children or children over 15 years of age. Come meet Miley at the shelter.
